Hey World,
I live in Park Slope now. It is a nice area and all but I work in Upper East Side and the commute is not killing me but I would like something a little more convenient. Does anyone have any idea of where I should move??
I am a married man with a family so schools, parks, friendly atmosphere is a must.
I appreciate any reply's. Thanks!!

What's your budget? That makes a big difference in where you can afford to live ...

The UES is great for families but the question is would a house or apartment with the size your family needs be in your budget?

Have you done a search online yet? Have you seen something you can afford but aren't sure if the nabe is good for you?

Also are you renting in Park Slope or do you own? It may be tough to sell now which is why I ask. Are you looking to rent or buy in the next area that you move to?

We would need more details to help you out.

I would recommed Forest Hills Queens. Good schools, and you have a subway line right there that takes you straigt to the Upper East Side.

Sure, how about the upper east side?

There are lots of nice buildings right on 5th or Park avenues. Mostly co-ops though. Also great schools like, Dalton, Chapin, Browning and The Spence School. You could probably walk your kids to school and/or to work. What could be more convenient?

A little more detail might make sense, no?

Chapin is QUITE a haul from Fifth Avenue! And Dalton is in the Carnegie Hill area, as is Spence (and Nightingale) - not exactly on the way to work! And for those schools, if your child isn't in NOW, the classes are closed for the year.
