Good afternoon!!! Motorman, the info that you gave was exactly the answers i have been googling for. I to recently took the t/o test. I copied down my answers and looked up the answer key online. Out of 80 i got 4 wrong which puts me in the 95%. I was alittle upset that i got even 4 wrong, but 4 wrong i guess isn't bad after your comment. So i guess i'll be waiting a few years for "the call".

The average wait is between two and four years. C'est la vie, in New York City civil service. (Unless, of course, MTA finds itself short on train operators, in which case they'll push for that list ASAP).
Wow, T/O training sounds more like boot camp. It is well worth it especially operating a train in NYC. Can anyone remember the big crash on the downtown 4 @ 14th st well over 10+ years ago. I could only assume this is one of the reasons why the testing level and training is so intense.
I missed the tests for this year, I'll try in January.
Does anybody know anything about the assistant signalman for LIRR?

You got a great score, you will have a very good list number.(under 200) I also took the T/O exam and I got 9 wrong, 88.75%, but I took the exam for the experience. It was a tricky exam, some of the questions on it were school car questions.
Hi, I just want to know if I have 9 wrong out of 80 and got 5 extra points where will that put me at. Another question, is it possible to go to college and work as a T/O. thank you

The answer to your first question is your score would be 93.75%. I really can't answer your second question but your schedule isn't going to be steady for a few years if your on the extra list. Choose one or the other.
I want to take the test and some one said that it is still open but I can't find any information on it. Can some one please give me the web site with all of the info. Thank you very much.
