Took the MTA Train Operator Exam, got the results, what is Next? (Livingston: offices, hired)

Schoolcar class starts tmrrw..supposed to be 40 ppl on the class..then another class 11/12 of 40 then 12/2 class of 40

Well I got my canvass letter last Saturday and just took my Drug test wednesday (10-17). My list number was 249. Im assuming if theyre doing a schoolcar this week like you said, Im assuming i will be in the November or December class then, correct??

With that list number I would think yes Nov or Dec class..sum1 on another forum mentioned a person in the 80s was hired..but this class is a mix of OC and Promos a person in schoolcar said

thanks justin I just started posting here. That was my first post. I still dont know how to use quotes and whatnot because i dont use forums at all lol. So are you working for the MTA or are you playing the waiting game like myself??

No biggie man lol..no I'm on the list waiting to get in I'm high 600s and hoping to get in sometime next year and yes This waiting game is brutal haha but I'm sure it will be worth I need a change..gl to you u should be in by the end of the year

Thanks man. Hopefully you get called Soon. I got a letter on Saturday 10-13 and had to report forthe drug test 10-17. People were so dumb when I was there. There were 2 lines one for phonecalls and one for letters. It was specifically said what line to get into. About 10-12 people went into the phonecall line with letters. Hopefully they dont make it through lolol. If you cant follow basic instruction, you cant do a job like this. There were other people from other jobs that got called too like bus maintainer and chassis A and B i believe which they repair the buses I think. What part of the city do you live in Justin?

Thats hilarious I think its safe to say ppl who dont have common sense wont make it through school car ..yea im hoping maybe next year this time ill get in..its tough to say with jobs like this all depends upon there needs like mentioned b4 it was said they want to hire 240 T/Os by 1st qtr after that who knows..actually dont live in the city currently looking to make a move once I get the job and settle in

I would you would get called sooner if youre in the 600s. Id say one out of every 3 or so would make it all the way into training. And if theyre gunna hire 240 t/o's by the first qtr like one of the previous posts stated you should hopefully get called before the first qtr in 2013. I have another question and idk how many people are reading this, my friend is a bus operator and he said the drug test expires after 30 days because of possible contamination of the samples. Idk if anyone knows about this or not, but if thats true id hopefully get a call for my medical before 11-17.

@Moosemania yes the drug test is only good for a certain period I think it's 60 days or if remember I thought I heard ppl saying before 6mos..I'm pretty sure you'll be in one of these next classes..and I hope ur right haha I think theres a small shot I get in 1st qtr if they follow thru with there hiring process

Hey all...so I did my pre screening on the 2nd of this month. I know I have a clean drug test so I'm just wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes to get called back for the second step of the process. My list number is 108..
