Yeah true dat. I for one don't like Natty or bud-light. I think they are pretty gross. But If they have Miller light cheap or pabst that's okay.

Yes, Corner Bistro does the $2 or $3 beer thing where you get 8oz at best but the burgers are amazing.

For me the best thing is to land up at Hop Devil or even Waterfront Ale house or Barcade and order a stronger beer. Pay the $5 but the alcohol content and taste (you have to like more full flavored beers for this to work) will knock you out. A single beer properly ordered is like 2 regular beers.

Go to barcade and order this: TEN - Ithaca Beer Company - BeerAdvocate

and suddenly that $5 beer is like 2-3 beers. You can't just look at alcohol content alone, since the other substances that naturally form during brewing also "help" the cause in these full flavored beers.

sxr... Try Blind Tiger Alehouse.

Nothing there (except maybe the daily special) is below $5, but you get a 12% belgian ale for $8 and you will be spinning in no time.

Plus, they have so many different ones each week (they change the taps). As well as special guest appearances and the like.

Oh, and on Wednesdays, about 4 or so, they have free bread and (fancy schmancy) cheese. Get a good dry ale with some aged parmesan and the two go SO well together it is not funny (you would not think it...).

Default Cafe Melanie

At 34th and Madison. A nice deli with seating in the back where you can have a beer.
