Just wanted to know if anyone could recommend anywhere in nyc where one could get a beer for $4 or less, or any other drink specials. And no not a happy hour neither!
I swear i cant think of the name . Its on Univeristy place/3rd ave By St. Marks (across from the Village Voice) They have $4 dollar STRONG DRINKS & $5.00 meals. The food is actually good. Like coconut shrimp, Pad Thai, Spring rolls. Nice sized portions too.

Antarctica Bar and No Idea bar (I think they're owned by the same people), you get a pint glass of mixed drink for $5, $7 for top shelf. You can also get a beer for $4 and a pitcher for $10.
Rudy's over on 8th I think (or maybe 9th). Somewhere around 45th or so.
Big plastic pig outside the door, free hot dogs, $7 pitchers of "blonde", $9 pitchers of "Red".
Also, the Blarney Stone over at 45th and 3rd has a bunch of beer cheap, and a tray of good cheap food. Problem? the place has its critters too, YMMV, but I would not eat anything that has been sitting for a while!
Boss Tweeds-115 Essex Street (Delancey St. stop on F/J/M/Z trains). I've been there a few times and it's a cool place to hang out. They are running $3 Bud and Bud Light pints and $4 Natty Ice. Well drinks are very reasonable and checking the email I get so often, they have shot and beer for $6.
