Last time I was there I didn't see any, but I am coming back this week and I am curious on if there are any since I have a shopping card from there and it would be nice if I could use it on gas.
There are no Walmarts in NYC at all. The Walmart website shows these locations in New Jersey -- you can check to see if any of the ones along your route have gas stations.
I think that the nearest one with a gas station is going to be in Pennsylvania, because of the crazy regulations on gas stations in New Jersey, where self service is prohibited by law. Gov. Corzine tried to get some self-service stations introduced, but the measure was attacked and the law still stands for full service only. I cannot envision WalMart having a full service station, so it's likely not going to be a NJ player in the fuel market right now.

I was hoping there was one closer than PA, but maybe I'll hit that one on the way. Thanks.

I thought there might be one on the out skirts of one of the outer boroughs. It makes since for NYC not to have a Walmart since there isn't any real need or space for it.
There aren't any Wal-Marts with gas stations anywhere near New York City.
Unless anybody knows otherwise, I don't even think Pennsylvania Wal-Marts have gas stations. I've only seen them in other regions of the country.
