Has anyone been to the new BJ's in the Bronx? I think it is on 161st St. If so or not what are your opinions? Do you think it is a good thing being in that location? I live in Manhattan, Morningside Heights and I received a postcard in the mail announcing the grand opening. Maybe this explains why the Pathmark on W 145th has improved so much lately.

BJ's must be really expanding! When I was a member in southern Westchester about a decade ago, I had to go to either Yorktown Heights, Queens, or a big drive to Fairfield, CT. They just opened one in Pelham right on the Bronx line too!

They've been open for about 3 weeks now, are they like Costco where you have to bring your own bag to bag your items

You are right. They have been open since the beginning of August and you must bring your own bags.

I've been to the new Gateway Center which holds BJs, Target, Home Depot, Staples among other things and I was very, very impressed. I'm so glad that the city now has such a huge indoor mall like this. And there's tons of shopping. It also has Applebee's etc. If you live Uptown or the Bronx, you should definitely check it out.

Nah - I'd rather go to the one that opened up in Pelham Manor. It's walking distance for me.

Though I can't stand how they don't have any bags.
