Actually the unit in my livingroom is model # us12c10 and in my bedroom its # us10c10. I notice some models began with the letters "WS" and others were "US". I'm not sure what exactly is the difference but you seem to be knowledgeable in that area.

WS12C10/WS10C10
WS units are more expensive Wallmaster commercial grade units. They are heavy duty better built and last longer

us12c10/us10c10
US are the cheaper standard grade Universal fit models

The Wallmaster WS12C10/WS10C10 installed with the BAK Baffle kit would have been the way to go with the 27 inch wide and 19 3/4 deep sleeves that NorthRose dumped on it's tenants.

I just read up on the two models you posted vs. the two models I have. There is a slight difference between them and they are about 200$ more. Either way the Freidrich's are the better thru the wall ac's. Since I ordered the BAK it will correct the minor problem

North of 163rd is more classic South Bronx. Yes there are new residential develelopments also there but they are more low key constructions.

I been advicing don't go north of 163rd, and don't go south either especially on Courtlandt Ave, don't go west, there are the Morrisania Air Right Houses, maybe east? Well, think twice.

Stop being silly Whitlock...don't go south? Don't go east? Don't go west? So your advice is to barricade yourself in your home and pray for the second coming of Christ..although you would probably advise him not to go there either. This development is great, and the area has greatly turned around and is really emerging as a solid working/middle class community in the Southern Bronx..and it has taken 20 years of redevelopment to get to this point.

It is the model for affordable housing for NYC and the rest of the country, and will feed ever larger/better communities going forward in the neighborhood.

The map looks a bit alarming though.

Lets be honest now SobroGuy. Although this place has indeed changed from what it once was 10 and even 5yrs ago, its still far from safe. I was accepted for a 2br in the F building but turned it down for reasons I stated in an earlier post. Since then I constantly see and read news reports about robberies and shootings in the area surrounding Northrose.
