Exactly where in NYC can you catch a movie at 3am ?
There isn't, last shows are typically 12-1am and you get out by 3am.
NYC isn't as 24/7 as it used to be. I once went out to a bar at 12am then walked around soho around 1-2am there will be a lot of flea markets and shops open at that time but now they're all gone replaced by Starbucks and even they don't open 24hrs.
Then head over to Noodletown in Chinatown at 3am and have some noodle and go to a club that opens at 3am to 10am. Today all these damn yuppie clubs close by 3-4am and they're boring.

NYC used to be a big party place, there are plenty of young people that don't sleep and are out partying all night and lounging early in the morning and then go straight to bed or some go straight to class. Today you don't see it very much because the demographics has changed and most of the night life I used to see are dead.
Very few stores besides pharmacies are open 24/7... Stores in Times Sq are open very late though...
Most stores are open Mon thru Sat 10 to 7 - 9 PM and Sundays 11 AM or 12 PM until 5 - 7 PM or closed.
Stores in North Jersey are closed on Sundays
Umm where are you shopping in Manhattan that store are only open 12-5 on Sundays!!!
