I signed a contract for a home which was originally stated short sale approved. The owner signed the contract also. I put the deposit down and in the interim was waiting for a response. While waiting, I was informed that the loan was purchased by another company. At this time, I was informed that the owner is waiting for a letter from the new company informing him of the purchase and the company's information. I don't know if the owner is pulling my leg or he is in fact waiting for information from the company so that we may continue with the negotiation of this contract. What can I do?
