Are there still a few movie theaters in Brooklyn, close to Manhattan, that have reduced priced matinees, or anything along those lines?

UA Court Street is still $8.50 for daytime weekday movies or I believe the first showing of the day on weekends.

I actually really like AMC Kips Bay in Manhattan - they're only $6 for movies before noon.

Wow! I didn't know that about Kips Bay! Thanks, Wisnowbird. And I'll check the Court.

Seventh Floor, although the Kent may be cheap, that wasn't as close to Manhattan as I had in mind.

There are such movie theaters in Queens if you are interested that have cheap matinees until 3PM Mon.-Thur. and first show on Fri. & Sat.

Thanks, Chavas, but I'm only looking in Brooklyn, near Manhattan - looking for a half-way place to meet some friends.

Cobble Hill Cinemas on Court St. at Kane have like 6.50 tickets on Thursdays, I think.
