I havent been there in 4-5 years and just passed by a couple of days ago. I went passed the end of Central Park and was on my way towards Midtown. I was like "what is this?" I've always hated there ads but now they went overboard. There are ginormous ads (the size of buildings) and jumbo holograms that could put one in a trance state. I tried to get out of there as soon as possible. I dont know how New Yorkers put up with this.

Most natives don't put up with it, most natives avoid the area like the plague unless they really need to be there...
Ask a NYC resident what his least favorite part of NYC is, and they will invariably reply "Times Square." It's an assault on the senses, and crowded with tourists to boot.
