From what I can tell, it seems like there's not much for a subway system right there...is that accurate? Looks like it's the F til the end of the line then probably a bus to campus...?

Also, I remember taking the F from the end there (Jamaica 179 St) to Midtown (63rd and Lex) one of the times I was out there visiting, if I remember correctly, it was like a 45 minutes subway ride. Is that accurate?

im not sure what you are asking but there are 3 buses that goes to SJU.

The Q46, which travels on Union Turnpike. It goes from the E and F train at queens blvd to LIJ hospital.

Also the Q31 and Q30. at a certain point they travel the same route on Utopia Parkway. You can get them from jamaica queens pretty much at the same bus stops. You can transfer from the F train at 169th street to the Q31 AND 30.

There are no trains that go there. The closest train in that area are the E and F train which stop at Union Turnpike and queens blvd.

Also understand that NY subway system is like a spider web. the whole system is pretty much inter-connect.

It is only a 10minute walk from 169th St station on the F line to SJU main buildings. The F is express for most of the journey through Queens. If you don't want to walk the 10minutes, then there are the Q30 & Q31 buses that pick up at the station and drop you off in front of SJU main gates. THey run very frequently.

E to Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens is about 20-25 minutes. The Q46 bus from the E/F train at Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens to St. John's runs frequently and the ride is only 10 minutes. St. John's also has a van that you can ride from this station to/from campus.

Or you can take the QM1A Express Bus from 6th Avenue. Drops you right off infront of the campus if you've got $5.50 to spare.
