Im supposed to go down the 24th for orientation....my current job is not giving me the day off or a sick day,(used them up)...so im kinda stuck. I wanna say f**k em,but if something goes wrong with the process for sanman (no drug/or health problems...but just in case.) then im out of both jobs...was thinking of not showing up and having myself reinstated...but what are your thoughts on them doing another round of hiring after this one by 2014?....do you think this call up is it?....i get new vacation and sick days on jan 2012, and i can save them for the next round hopefully.
If you think that there should be no reason why DSNY shouldn't hire you then go down on the 24th. The way this list is going there are no guarantees that there will be more classes. Seniority is everything and if you pass this up then you will be 300 people behind.
Good Luck

I think this will be the last hiring off this list. Even if they give a new test it doesn't mean they will hire and the way things are going in this job I would not pass up the opportunity unless your current job is stable/pays well/ and you like what you do

sanmansoon whats the problem with just calling in sick? You may not get paid, but if your sick, your sick. Just go to the doctor and make up an ailment and get a note for work.
Thanks I took my wednesday so I'm gonna wait until tomorrow or wednesday to see if I passed.
