That is what I said also, maybe he wants to make his charts I don't know.
You would figure he would want more hiring so he can move up in seniority.
Don't assume anything because assumptions will get you into trouble. If you must know I turn down every chart because my free time is more valuable to me than money. Moving up in seniority doesn't matter to me either because I really don't care what shift I am on or what I am doing. I am just thankful to have a job in these unstable times. I already explained my reasoning and it was my OPINION based on what I have seen with the City's hiring practices. If you don't like or disagree with my opinion then just keep it to yourself instead of trying to figure out why I would say something. Just because people leave or retire doesn't mean they have to hire. Everybody from private companies to city agencies are trying to do the same or more work with less people which is why the head count got this low to begin with. I am all for people getting hired
Does anyone know if the 1st class is full yet.And i would like any opinions on my chances of making one of these 3 classes,im at 136*.
You should possibly make the 2nd class, if not, have a really good shot at the 3rd class. I was also told they are trying to hire an additional 50 on top of the 300. Either way, within time, you will be OTJ.
if you have your cdl permit and everything else in order you will make either the 2nd or 3rd class im sure...im 128* and got my cdl license already im hoping to make the 2nd class which would be oct i believe..but good luck and you will be ojt sooner then you know it
