the police now have to do 22 years in order to raise the starting pay for the new recruits from 25k to 42k.....but this negotiation will only affect those in sanitation who are hired after the new contract is inked...those who are already hired will fall under the old provisions
just the nycers....you can only notarize something you sign.......Pat you probably don't need the gloves for the first day but bring them anyways....they were 1.97 in Home Depot
how things change: so maybe a year ago the supervisor would come up to me on the route and ask "so do you think you will be able to go to the dump today?"
about a week ago the same supervisor comes up to me and asks "so you are going to be a relay today, right?" and even better, he also mentions something to the effect of "if you cant fit the route on the truck, dont worry about it." as in he will call work out. i dont know where he would fall in the layoffs, but it seems a little too late.

It may be to late to prevent, but the more relays means more more guys needed and more trucks for them to watch and hopefully more supervisors and they can get their spots back and we can hire more new guys to replace them.
i think it is around 4-5 weeks....used to be shorter
