The city didnt layoff teachers. Infact the city didnt layoff any city workers. I am confused with this post.
So am I - I know the Board of Ed has had a hiring freeze on new appointees
for the past few years, but I thought by doing this they didn't have to lay
off any permanently hired teachers.
Maybe he was only a substitute teacher.

I was never with the board of Ed, I was talking private schools. That's a whole different animal.
hey random question...how did they determine who had what list number if they got the same exact scores on the test? last name? social security number?
hate to ruin everyones weekend, but there will be no sept classes, in fact they are talking demotion of recently promoted supervisors for night plow (winter for you civilians). this new deputy mayor goldsmith is wreaking havoc on this city. lets hope there still is a DSNY in the near future. once again, sorry for the sad info

Tiebreakers are determined by the last 5 numbers of your SS.

your roumor is wrong. dsny is still in need of supviser and spv count. is down city wide. no demotion. and the facts fbf is gearing up for a supv. and super., and thats a fact
I just talked to a sanman yesterday and he said they were going to demote some supervisors back to sanmen because they dont need that many supervisors and they are short sanmen. He said all classes are cancelled and other agencies are going to help when it snows. He also said they are cutting some functions, I forgot what he called it. something pack i think.

How can they have a supv and super's class when we are under for sanman? That makes no sense.
