One other thing, if you are staying in Chelsea consider seeing the High Line Park and eating at the Chelsea Market.

If you have any interest in Photography, MOMA will have an exhibit on Henry Cartier-Bresson starting Apr 11 thru June.

I was just at the Top of the Rock and enjoyed it. I think it has a better location than TESB, plus it was a no wait to get up to the top. Plus you can get a good look at TESB, and see it in all its glory. The NBC shops at the bottom are nice, too.
The MOMA.... is okay. They had a freakish but interesting Tim Burton exhibit but its gone in a few weeks. And I liked what Piccasos,Gaughan's Van Gogh's, Matisse's and Monet's they had but the rest of the modern art was not my bag. I'd add St. Patrick's Cathedral, its right nearby, free, and a beautiful house of worship. And Macy's/ Herald Square. The outdoor morning news shows crowds are a good place to hang around early in the morning.

While I was recently visiting for job interviews I had a couple days for touristy stuff. After my interviews the first day, we did major shopping.

Second day was Museum day. I really enjoyed the Cloisters, it was far less crowded than the Metropolitan Museum of Art, very pretty area. We went to both because the admission fee covers both of them. I was going to do more museums, wanted to go the Cooper Hewitt, but got a phone call/job offer that day, and spent the rest of the day wandering around with a dazed look on my face.

The next day we took the subway to times square, wandered around there, walked over to Rockefeller Center and went to the Top of the Rock. I'd suggest it also over the Empire State Building, there was no wait, you could see everything! From there we walked to central park and spent the afternoon in the park.

Didn't do that much while we were there, but the things we did do were all excellent
