I think it a safe neighborhood. I lived on Ryerson street noth of Myrtle 2 years ago and never felt unsafe. Its a vibrant neighborhood, close to ft green park, with lots of restaurants on myrtle and dekalb ave. The only thing you need to verify is where the apartment actually is, because realtors tend label parts deep into bed-stuy as clinton hill. Clinton hills eastern border is Classon avenue, anything east of Classon is Bed-stuy
Just make sure it truly is Clinton Hill. The Clinton Hill border seems to creep in on Bed Sty more and more. A lot of developers and realtors try to market parts of Bed Sty as Clinton Hill.

Agreed, I'm on Classon which is pretty much near the border of BedSty (altho arguably, Franklin Ave is said to be the start of BedSty proper). Be careful when dealing with Realtors, they like to "extend" certain neighborhoods at their discreation. I also love how some started calling BedSty "Styvesant Heights"....please. Anyway...
I have been in CH for over 10 years and I love it. Yes some parts look rough (IE: LG projects) but I have never felt unsafe there. There's also a police station and police cars riding around on a fairly regular basis. The neighborhood is very diverse, great restaurants on Fulton, and bars are popping up everywhere. I own but some of the rents I have seen range from $1400 and up.

Stuyvesant Heights has been a part of Bedford Stuyvesant since the 1600s. So if they were referring to the correct part, there's nothing wrong with this label.

Are you trying to say that "Stuyvesant Heights" isn't a part of Bed-Stuy or that you are ignorant of its existence and/or location? In any event, puh-leeze!

The above article has a few inaccuracies and/or omissions, but here it is anyway....
I never said Sty Heights didnt exist. I said that Realtors are referring to Bed Sty AS Stuyvesant Heights, regardless of the actual location in Bed Sty. So learn to read, FTW. And yeah...Phuleeze.
You'll do great in Clinton Hill, it's trending up and it's got some great historical history and beautiful brownstones. Just be smart at night, just like anywhere in NYC.
