I am an experianced boater and jet skier from Belmar, N.J. I am looking to take a day trip around Manhattan by boat (22' Palm Beach w/ 200hp merc) on june 30, 2010, weather permitting. It will be my first time navagating around the island and would like some advise. Taking tides into account, which direction is best - up East River and back down Hudson? Any info on tides , currents, Hellgate, etc would be apprieciated. Thanks, Mike
