You are thinking about moving to NYC with your family/s.o. but either your family or significant other can't agree with you on which borough to live in. You want to live in Brooklyn while they want to live in Manhattan. What would you do,would you give in to them in live in the borough they want or what?

Can you afford an equal type apartment and neighborhood in both Brooklyn and Manhattan?

Brooklyn might get you something nicer/larger/non-walk-up versus that same price in Manhattan. And depending on where you are in Brooklyn and where your jobs are, your commute might even be shorter from Brooklyn!

Look at those things to try and figure out which is best for you all.

figure out what you can afford and how much space you can get for that in Manhattan vs. another borough that is close to the city......You may end up only being able to afford a Studio the size of a closet in NYC and sure the Mrs. and the rest of the family will love that compared to lets say a 2 bed in Jackson Heights.
