Just curious what is your favorite resaurants in NYC? I love all kinds of foods. I just love to eat. I consider myself a budding foodie, or is it foody, I don't care I just like good food. Asking for any kind of place to eat that you consider is your favorite. And more specifically what is your favorite place for:
Sushi
fine dinning
steaks
Italian
BBQ
Mexican
burgers
Greek
anything else?
Sushi - Sushi Samba, Morimoto, Matsuri, Hana Sushi
fine dinning - Bagatelle (a little less traditional)
steaks
Italian - Fiorello
BBQ
Mexican - Tortilla Flats
burgers
Greek
Sushi - Sushi of Gari, Tsuki's (mom and pop place on 1st ave bet 74th and 75th)
Fine Dining - Pampano, Mesa Grill, Nobu
Steaks - Bar Americain
Ethiopian - Meskerem
Indian - Chola
And more specifically what is your favorite place for:
Sushi -- expensive: sushi yasuda, AYCE -- yuka, everyday -- tomoe
fine dinning -- eleven madison park
steaks -- Not a big steak fan; I order chicken/fish if I'm dragged to a steak restaurant.
Italian -- babbo is supposed to be great but haven't had the patience to get a reservation
BBQ -- only been to brother jimmy's and dallas bbq. Mediocre.
Latin american -- pio pio
burgers -- shake shack
Turkish -- ali baba

Sushi: nobu or sushi samba
fine dinning: i guess nobu could be fine dining...
steaks: dylan prime or sparks
Italian: difara.
BBQ: Dinosaur, Jackson Hole, Daisy May, Fette Sau
Mexican: Rosa Mexicano
burgers: Shake Shack, Burger Joint or Peter Luger
Greek: i would suggest astoria, since it has a big greek populaiton... you should find something good there...
anything else: 53rd and 6th for street meat. planet doughnut, chip shop, Big Wong, Chinatown ice cream factory, pommes frites

For sushi, I actually love Food Emporium (the one on 68th and 3rd). I may not have very refined sushi tastes but it's inexpensive and I think really good!
