I have rented an apt and will move in next week. What are the cable TV/internet providers in NYC and which one is the best value.
I've looked at RCN, but their internet speed in only 1.5Mbps, isn't that inadequate to stream netflix and videos on the computer?

Can anyone comment on other providers ?I am not allowed to use satellite dishes and I really don't need phone services since I have my cell.

Is Charter a good option in Brooklyn? I am contracted with them on a life-long low rate but not sure if they service every apartment there.
