I am single woman. my budget is 1500, less is better.

room size is similar, but 1 with kitchen 1 without. Can you live with only fridge and microwave?

so far, 1 is at midtown 50s, right off subway station, DOORMAN, high floor. south facing, but NO KITCHEN, only a full size fridge and microwave, no even a kitchen sink , you have to use bath room sink. bathroom is big, full size, with a BIG window. only 1 closet. kitchen has no cabinets. this one is $1395 electricity included.

the other one is at mid 70s and 1-2nd ave. no doorman but elevator, room size is good, 11x16, big kitchen with DISHWASHER, lots of cabinets. full size bathroom no window. big cali closet. walk to subway is 6 mins.

I have to move asap this weekend, which one should I choose?

how much is the 2nd apt? If it is somewhat close in $$- I would take the 2nd apt that comes w/ a kitchen & a sink that is just me though- Go with your gut feeling of what you like better- good luck

i think its strange how the other apt has no kitchen. Could it be possible that you need to add/build one?

I'd go for the kitchened one, the other merely aspires to be an apartment.

The first one would be like living in a hotel, the other one is a real apartment. I couldn't live for more than a short time without a kitchen, so I would choose option #2. It sounds like a nice place, and 6 minutes to the subway is really not that bad

Plus I think I would prefer to live E 70s vs. midtown because it's more of a neighborhood.

The first apartment is a pied-a-terre, not generally designed for long-term living, so I would take the second one, that is a real apartment with a full kitchen.
