I live on 134th between Broadway and Amsterdam... and will tell you that if 'Mister Softee' and his crew got thrown into the Hudson River tomorrow I would not weep lol.

^^We can only dream!

But I don't think it's Mr. Softee, they're not playing the usual Mr. Softee song. It's some other super effing annoying song.

I live in the area.........let me guess, it's the ghetto-ass song with the clapping and the "Hello!?!" sound quip isn't it? It's so distinctive that it's hard to miss. I dislike the attitude with which that person says "Hello!?!" as well!

There's a "Kool Man" truck (with a walrus in front) that's been roaming the neighborhood since seemingly forever (at least 15 years), that plays the "Mr. Softee" theme (higher pitch). What I haven't seen/heard in the longest is a truck that plays the original, slower-pitched "Mr. Softee" theme. The "classic" one. Can't beat that. I hate all of those knock-offs.

"Good Humor" trucks used to pass by the neighborhood, but very infrequently compared to Softee and it's knock-offs. Haven't seen them in ages.

Yep, that's it! And they play it so loud too, you can hear it from a mile away.
