I'm new to NYC and I wanted to know if anyone knew of any clubs in NYC with a real dance floor. I've ran across alot of bars and lounges but really no room to dance. Can someone help me.

Good luck. It's so hard to get a cabaret license in NYC these days that lots of the dance clubs are gone.

I think it depends on the music/atmosphere you are looking for, honestly they are not that hard to find, try using Yelp.

Right now in NYC its all about lounges and restuarants. Some places might have a bar, restaurant and a small dance floor and lounge area. IF you want big clubs try club row on the west side of Manhattan, notable clubs such as Marquee and Pacha. IF you like dance or techno check out famous websterhall, if your into hip hop try Jay Z 40 40 club or china club. Traditional NYC club scene has died thanks to Sex and the City its all about celebrity sightings and whats cool and hip.

RIP CBGB
