Yes, the salaries are probably going to be lower in the hotel business especially if you are coming from a large city, but another possibility is living here and working for a Canadian company or even in Montreal.......or suburbs thereof.....You would get a pass for the border crossing to make it easier. Depending on your commute time now, your commute might be the same.....but MUCH less stressful : ) And yes, good luck! What site are you using to job hunt?
