There are several to choose from, please help with any feedback available...the good, the bad and everything in between. I understand that the public schools in Dutchess County are wonderful but for those parents that want Catholic schools, not Private Schools, which elementary school is best? There are apparently 7 to choose from (not in any particular order they are: St. Mary's [Fishkill], St. Martin dePorres [Poughkeepsie-town], Holy Trinity [border of City of Poughkeepsie], St. Mary's [Wappingers Falls], St. Columba [Hopewell Junction], St. Peter's [Hyde Park], Regina Coeli [Hyde Park]). Any information you have would be a great help in trying to narrow it down....

I would like to know opinions on this as well. I'm looking into St Peters, Holy Trinity and Regina Coeli.

Regina Coeli has historically been a preferred option for families in the northern part of the county. I am less familiar with the other options, but do know that the Catholic community in Hopewell is very large and active which points to a thriving school situation.

Actually St. Columba's enrollment is down. St. Mary's in Fishkill has had more enroll this year from what I've entered into our district data base. St. Martin's has a good program also. Just remember-please register in your home district before enrolling into the private schools-public districts fund the textbooks for them based on enrollments.
