One of the projects presented by a student from La Jolla, CA looks interesting to me. It is about the spread of epidemics on transportation networks.

Nonetheless, I'll be cheering on our HS's finalist, Anna Sato, and her filtration project inspired by the Fukushima disaster in Japan.

How does a student even get "radioactive" materials to use in an experiment...unreal!
