Also, in the summer you could use the ferry to the train as an option!

If you're going to Beacon I would very highly recommend taking the ferry. The parking at Beacon is very expensive, but most of the all the traffic getting out of the parking lot during rush hour times is absolutely HORRIBLE. It can take up to 15-20+ minutes just to get on I-84 from Beekman St.

I was wondering if anyone knows about the parking at Stewart Airport (is it expensive). Is it better to take the Newburgh-Beacon Stewart Link (at Stewart Airport) to the Beacon train station or use the Park and ride on Route 300 in Newburgh to the Beacon train station???

I know Stewart Airport is closer to the development in New Windsor.

Thanks

Parking for the bus at Stewart is free, I believe. Service is more infrequent out to Stewart from Beacon and vice versa than it is from the Park and Ride on 17K so it would only be more convenient if you commute times coincide with Stewart bus service times.

Here is the link to the time tables.

I've been seeing mixed reviews about New Windsor, NY. I also know that the area the development is in, is part of the Washingtonville school district (if that helps).

I know some of the streets near the development are Hudson Valley Ave, Hawthorn Way, and Jackson Ave. Any information on this area would be great! Thanks!
Hi All,

I know this conversation is more than a 1.5 yr old, but I'm going to look at this development tomorrow (Sunday). MinnieM, did you purchase a townhome in this development? If so, what do you like / dislike about the community and the surrounding area? What has been your experience with commute into midtown?

All comments regarding The Grove are appreciated.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

No I did not purchase a townhome in the development. The homes are very nice and they are in a nice setting. For me it came down to the communte to midtown. I felt the commute would have been to much to do every morning.
