Spring Valley and Havestraw might have the worst high schools in Rockland County. Spring Valley High, Ramapo High, and North Rockland are the schools to avoid. Try Clarkstown South, North. Also avoid Nyack

I lived in Rockland from the year I was born ('62) to 1991. I attended Clarkstown Schools which were the best. My high, Clarkstown North school was the 3rd highest achieving school in NY around 1980 (I was not an achiever at all however). Ramapo(Spring Valley) and North Rockland (Haverstraw) schools always had bad reputations back then. Listen to BXgear they know about it

Spring Valley and North Rockland have always been perceived as a war zone since I graduated from Clarkstown in the 70's

Is West Haverstraw any better or still undesirable? Crime statistics seem to be lower compared to Haverstraw. The schools seem to be a tad bit better.
