Look, we all know that if New York was included, all the other cities would terribly lose. With that being said, what is the best skyline in UPSTATE New York????

Definitely Rochester, though I may be a bit biased. Still, the view of the skyline including the new bridge is really nice. Never cared for Buffalo's skyline.

Well what I meant by upstate was outside of New York City, but I guess you're right, it's only a couple miles north of the Bronx

I think it is between Rochester and Syracuse, with Binghamton being a sleeper. I think the natural surrounding scenery plays a part in each of these areas.

BTW- No Utica, Schenectady, Elmira, Niagara Falls or Watertown?

I did actually add Niagara Falls, and I didn't really think the other cities had real skylines worth putting on the list, except maybe utica.

I'm not sure if I would consider Utica the best...but I do have fond memories as a child coming home from some far off placed travel, heading South on 12 and seeing the buildings that made up Utica's downtown, especially the Gold Dome Bank..and thinking ahhhh Home. There are some beautiful churches as well, but I was kind of tied between Rochester and Buffalo, maybe because we're set to move there very soon, I think I like Buffalo better. Here's a skyline that may not be as majestic, but if you look at Geneva across the lake at night, it is beautiful.

Buffalo: Probably the most urban skyline in upstate NY. Beautiful architecture, multiple views. What's there not to like?

Niagara Falls: Not much to see here. Not a personal favorite. The falls are nice though.

Rochester: My personal favorite upstate. A Beautiful waterfront, a clean and modern looking downtown, nice architecture.

Syracuse: Pretty nice skyline. The only problem with Syracuse is that there is a difficulty in getting a nice photo of the city.

Albany: Personally, I don't like it. It's dense and has a mix of old and new architecture. That unfortunately also means ugly and beautiful architecture.

Troy: Not much to see here either. Looks like your typical small town upstate downtown to me.

White Plains: You are now leaving New York City.

Binghamton: For it's size, I really have to give it to Binghampton. It's kinda impressive from I-81 too!

Of the pics you posted. I think Buffalo is obviously the biggest/most impressive. I agree about Albany, I don't like the mix. I like the Syracuse pic the most I guess. But my opinion changes based on pic.
