How are you guys finding all these legends? When i try to look it up nothing come up...... i may know my family is crazy but some of the legends you guys "made up" are fake, like really.
Well let me be the first of the dymonds to say congratulations to the person who started this forum. Why? Because you are about to meet the whole dang family! You are wrong, who ever told you is wrong, and the people posting on this forum adding to it are just as ignorant. We are a strong loving family and there is no other family like us! We will protect everything and trust no one because of stuff like this! Our property is all we have left of our ancestors and no one will ever mess with that. No one can ever dis our name. This thread is a great example of that place that separates Albany from NYC. It's crazy. You drive south of Albany and expect it to become more and more civilized the closer you get to NYC. Nope. You have to drive through things resembling the deep south before you actually reach NYC's sphere of influence. It always intrigued me growing up. Drive through the most isolated area in the Adirondacks, you won't find people as crazy and as wild as you'd find in the Catskills.

No, people saying all this nonsense is what makes us look weird.....we are 25 minutes from ellenville NY. There is nothing weird about us. We are normal middle class working citizens. Unlike most, my family would do anything for anyone. 99% of dymond city is all family. Its one of the best places to grow up not a place of horror
This is all crap!!!!! I lived in Dymond City (you guys even got the spelling wrong by the way). No one has ever disappeared and no one gets hurt except the occasional accidents. I've known the Dymonds all my life and they are nothing but loving and caring people. Some were the most wonderful I've ever know. I was not born into the Dymond family my mom married into it and my step dad took me and my sister in as his own. None of the Dymonds have ever treated us like we didn't belong. Always made us feel like we were family and nothing else. Learn what is real and what people make up!! If you believe the rumors you are truly the most gullible person on earth!!!

It does exist. Any native of the towns of Sundown, Neversink & Claryville will attest to that. A lot of stories of demanding
their privacy are true, with the use of firearms is true but as for people disappearing not so sure. My husband as a boy and young man had been there many times with a friend of the family. He will say it is unique and out of the ordinary but not bad.
In some ways they live by there own rules. I do remember hearing that they had a large collection of junk cars which they were very handy at fixing up so that when they wanted to go to town they would just slap any old license plate on and go. I myself know some of the Dymonds and find them to be very nice country folks. Ignorance is bliss but these people are just regular down home folks who may or may not want to be bothered depending on who you are.

Because we aren't oniontown and these rumors have been going around for years and more and more keep popping up. How would you like it if we spread rumors about your family being incest and all the other bull said on here. If you dont want us to respond then why would you even say anything?
