You can get there by taking NYS 12 North out of Utica to NY 28 which goes northeast up into the Adirondacks and will eventually lead you to Blue Mountain Lake. It's a beautiful ride.
If you are a railroad buff, there is also this along that route:
Those are quite common in pizza places here. The good ones still use cheese underneath, but the regular ones are good too. Nice to try but I still prefer regular pizza. One thing you will never be disappointed with in the Northeast is good pizza
I was just reading that there are statewide smoking bans, including in bars, in all New England states. Is that correct and are New York State's smoking bans the same? Is smoking banned in bars across NYS? I think that's great, as I have asthma and I will actually be able to go into a bar when I will be in Boston!!!
Ya, familiar with those. The pizza place up the road from me is called Salvatore's Tomato Pies in Sun Prairie, WI. The owner is from New Jersey and they make the best pizza that is most comparable to the East Coast style I'm familiar with in Mass and southern NH. However, the Tomato Pie is generally more common in NJ/NY region.

Smoking bans extend to places other than bars. Some towns ban smoking in parks, beaches and public areas. The only time I see smokers is usually outside of a Wal-mart.
