What is funny about this is that all of this is true. It seems to have more of an Albany slant to it.

Can someone explain the Schenectady thing? Since 1998 I've lived in the Adirondacks, the Utica area, and now Rochester and I had no idea I was supposed to hate Schenectady.

It's a Capital Region thing. As CKH said, the list is sort of skewed towards Albany and this is one of the things.

That was really funny. Yes, I'm guilty of being from Suffolk out on LI, but I agree 100% that it gets tiring when people think NY = NYC. It is so myopic. Too many great places within NYS to list which are overshadowed by a congested mass of concrete and humanity.

Good stuff!

#10 is something that I drew and posted in the upstate/downstate thread a couple years back!

Can't believe it somehow made it onto the list!

#22! Its a reality! [Except that a Stewarts Birch Beer is stuck in with all BUFFALO items.] Take that out and it's BUFFALO!

#9 and #10 and #49 aren't bad either >> proof that most of the state isn't NYC ( Thank Heavens!)
