Childcare in Monroe-Woodbury area (Rockland: daycares, pre-school, moving)

Hi,
In a few months I will be moving from North Rockland into the Monroe-woodbury area. My biggest concern right now is finding childcare for my three school aged children. Two elementary and one will be in the middle school. Right now they attend a center and prior they were in a family daycare which I prefer to avoid. In my preliminary searches, it seems family daycares are all that's available. Though I'm not totally turned off to the idea, it really would depend on the environment, etc.

Any information to help in my quest would be greatly appreciated!

I know this is an older post, but saw you didn't get any replies and i see a few others asking this question.

If you haven't found anything yet, sittercity.com and care.com are great resources. I'm not affiliated with them but used then to find child care for my young children and there are many providers in the area through the sites.

On a related note could any one recommond good daycare/pre-school ? We'd prefer a center than a family care. Thanks!
