Hello! I wanted to hear from anyone who has a child at the Rockland Boces. What school distict were you in and is it very difficult to get the district to send your child to the Boces? Thanks so much!
I have a child special with a low tone muscle syndrome well that's what I know so far he is only two years old. He has been going to Prime-time School. I am not sure if I want to keep him there. Can you recommended a better ED School in Rockland area. Please let me know.
Greetings all,
I am relocating to Rockland County area from Michigan (originally from Texas) in the summer. My son is eight, and on the ASD spectrum, non-verbal. He is high functioning socially. I live on Marine Corps retirement. Who pays for these schools? My fiancee lives in Suffern and suggests he attend a residential five day per week program, and home on the weekends? is that a possibility? Any help would be appreciated operating blind here from another state. Also, what would the length of residency time be for us? Thanks so much!

Looking to get info on high schools for kids on the spectrum . I heard North Rockland High School has programs. My daughter is 15 and is dx with aspergers/adhd (she is on meds for this). She is in her first year of HS in the bronx, in inclusion and doing well. I am looking to relocate by the fall in the stony point area, hopefully. She receives speech twice a week and has an IEP since she was 4.
Any info/help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Hi again! Westchester County is also an option. Any high schools with good programs with kids on the spectrum. 15yr with Aspergers/ADHD, IEP and in 9th grade. Any info/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

^ From a segment from an unrelated article: “The Ardsley Union Free School District in Westchester County attracts dozens of out-of-district students who attend its special education programs. In the last school year, 21 different school districts sent 48 K-12 students to Ardsley's special education programs. Another 34 students attended because their parents paid tuition of $21,888 for grades 7-12 or $18,074 for K-6.”
So, it appears that Ardsley’s Special Education program has a good reputation in Westchester County.
