Because people in New York actually follow laws like speed limits. They are there for your safety.

I live in speeder hell here in southeast LA. It drives me crazy!

Speed limits were 70-80 decades ago when cars were supposedly "unsafe at any speed".

Speed limits are SUPPOSED to be set based on measured 85th percentile vehicle speeds, as measured by traffic engineers.

Really? Not long ago I was told driving faster than 55mph was dangerous. Funny how I can legally and safely drive faster now on those very same roads.
