Interesting article from the Ithaca Times about the biggest project for downtown and the man behind it:

Demolition looming, Harold

Is there really a selection of really good Tibetan food in Ithaca? Also, does anyone raise yaks nearby?

I don't know if there is a selection, but there is this place Ithaca Restaurants - Downtown Ithaca Alliance

The city is only 30,000 people, but the variety of food choices is quite large for a city (isolated) that size.

I don't know of any *** farms.

I have lived here all my life of 48yrs...***'s I may have seen at a zoo, but not a one in a farmer's field. Closest we get are red fuzzy Scottish cattle (not really the same, but cute) and some bison out past Cortland. I'm also not sure about the Tibetan food scene here, but there is a lot of good ethnic food with goat & lamb, no *** if that's what you were shooting for. My best guess is to hang out with the Dali Lama at his monastery, here just outside of Ithaca, for the real deal on Tibetan cuisine.
