Hello-
I am looking for anyone who might be employed by BOCES in NYS for Special Education. Specifically, Orange-Ulster BOCES. I have some questions regarding employment, pay and benefits.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Don't know much about it myself, though I've heard BOCES in NYS is a great gig with the pay, benefits and small work load.

I used to work for BOCES in Rensselaer NY. Not sure what help I can be as it was many years ago and I believe they now go under Questar.
Pay is ok, Benfits are great, worked a little longer then a "school" day with all the same time off as the children. You get paid for Holidays but not the time off, unless you have time to be paid for, i.e. vacation, personal time.
There were always opportunities to work, and opportunities to expand your education.
For me, It was a very rewarding job, and a great place to work.

Thank you Cantana, do you recall if the benefits include paying for college/continuing ed?
