Home invasions are extremely rare here in Oneida. I know of only one.
Overall things have actually calmed down.
I guess these were never reported.........crime stats are one of the most manipulated statistics that are used by those in office to pad the cause.........we should have the head of the US Secret Service come here and look at the crime data.........oopps....the Director of the SS resigned yesterday.......OMG!
Listen, I just asked the question of the employee of the Oneida Visitors center off the Thruway at Genesee Street. She told me of the home invasions in Utica and the crime out of control and unreported. Sorry guys those are the facts. Please take a drive down Genesee Street and tell me if you would feel safe?

I've done it many times and yes. Actually, I dare say that Genesee Street south of Parkway/Burrstone Road is arguably the nicest part of the city of Utica. I'm not buying that Utica's crime is "out of control" either.
Also, Oneida doesn't have a visitors center or a Thruway exit like Sean told you earlier in the thread.

Get off the Thruway at Utica...........proceed 50 yards from paying your toll and the information booth is to the right..........you either have to be blind or a non-believer! Please stop spreading lies!
It may be called the Oneida County info booth or some such.
Oneida is a separate city in a separate county.
Oneida is a common name in this area. Oneida Air is in Syracuse for example.
Exactly! There is a difference..... I think someone may be fibbing or is trying to do something else, as they already started a similar thread: //www.city-data.com/forum/new-y...ion-booth.html
