I've posted here before about our intent to move to the Elmira/Corning region. Well...we're here! Renting in Watkins Glen (just outside, actually, in Reading Center) and contemplating a home in Elmira on West Hill Rd A (off of Halderman Hollow).
The home we're looking at is super cheap...priced well under value because it needs a lot of interior work.
So I was wondering what kinds of trash pickup they have in that area...does anybody here know?
I know here in Reading there is no trash pickup...we have to bring our trash and pay $3/bag at the transfer station (recycling is free!).
Is it the same in that part of Elmira? I mean...that's a pretty steep hill for a trash truck to travel up and down...so I'm thinking there's not pickup...lol
Hi we live on Harris Hill which is the mile high hill off Halderman Hollow and we have trash pick up every Mon AM. No need to worry we pay a monthly fee and the service is available. There are several companies available for your area.
As it turns out...there's a 2nd offer for the house on West Hill A. So we're not even sure if we're going to end up buying it.
Honestly...I really want a log home...lol. I can't say I'll be heartbroken if this deal falls through. We'll see!
