Unfortunately there is NO way to know for sure how long you will have to wait. From personal experiences, I've learned that the priority level you're given doesn't really matter. Some people wait a couple of months, others a couple of years or more. There are thousands of people on the NYCHA waiting list and it grows daily. It's the luck of the draw when you get selected cause it's randomly chosen through a computer. I waited 5 years for my apt. Meanwhile others with my same priority waited less time.
Sorry I couldn't help more, but have faith and I wish you luck and blessings.

Also, and this is important, go to the NYCHA self service portal online and set up an account. That way your don't have to keep calling customer service. You can see your status online 24/7.

You can get a call for a apartment 3-12months after being approved. Since BX is not in demand as much as Manhattan or Queens you may get a call in the earlier time frame. Your DV status would not be posted online for safety reasons. Call once a month or every other week. Be patient as long as you are approved you will get a call. Its really nothing NYCHA can do once you're approved your name is literally placed in the computer system with other N1DV and it will be randomly selected for developments as they become available. Stay safe.
