Here is an interesting article about the Hispanic/Latino community in Buffalo, NY.

Its interesting the difference in the Catholic mass from various Latino Groups. I have attended Mexican, Colombian, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central American and the one thing they have in common is the family attendance from small children to grandparents. Latinos are very family-centric and we could learn a lot from them.

She is a Latina professional in the Syracuse area. So, it is very relevant to show that such people exist up here. That’s all...

The Latino culture, which I am extremely familiar with, holds Abuelos and Abuelas in the highest regard and they are not shuffled off to senior homes like they are here. On Sundays its "family day" and you see the entire family from Abuelos to Nietos out for a lunch. Its extremely common to see Abuelos and Nietos everywhere and its wonderful that they have a use and fulfillment in their Golden Years. We could learn much from the family oriented Latino community.

When it first opened, there were dirt streets and people tied up their horses outside.
