Is Slate Hill part of Middletown? (New York, York: apartments, to live, price)

I'm trying to help a friend find a pet friendly apartment and I came across some in Slate Hill and the price is right but I've never been there or heard of it.
The Wikipedia page doesn't say much. Anyone know if it's safe? The apartments are like $200 less than the other towns.

I believe that it is primarily in the Minisink Valley SD. Census Tract 011801 in Orange County, New York

Slate Hill is very safe, I live the next town over in Westtown. It's Minisink district, and close to Middletown, but not in it. It's a 5 minute (or 1 minute) drive to Middletown, depending where in Slate Hill. Totally fine to live there.
