Black student stabs an Asian student at high school in Utica. Weird headline on this article as it makes it seem like the teachers stopped it, but the Asian student was stabbed several times, and then the student who was stabbed was body slammed by the teacher, rather than the other student who had the knife. Another black student filmed it.
Video not in article (of course) but it can be found on Andy Ngo's twitter page (full video of the altercation). It seems that hate crimes against Asians are still happening.

Was it automatically a "hate crime" or just a fight between two students of different backgrounds, as there is a difference? I watched the video and it is ironically a fight between what would be 2 students that are of a refugee/immigrant background as well(the black kid is Sudanese and the Asian kid is probably Vietnamese/SE Asian). So, we have to be careful to automatically assume that it is a "hate crime". The source of this doesn't help matters either. Here is the video: https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status...33607706066944
