I got accepted to Niagara University. Therefore, I am thinking about moving there so I was doing a little research about the area but, I came across horrible things regarding the toxic waste disposal in Niagara Falls/Lewiston. The amount of disposal in Niagara County is 3-5 times more than compared to other cities/counties. So is it safe to live there? I would really appreciate your answers.
Not sure about environmental factors(besides Love Canal and around the Goodyear plant) but the crime rate is low in Lewiston. Lewiston is a suburban town with a quaint village. Hopefully others will chime in with more specific information.
Lewiston is awesome. Quaint little village surrounded by a growing suburban town also called Lewiston. Toxic waste is more concentrated in the city of Niagara Falls.
Another thing to consider as an International student is that with your passport, you can go over to Canada to places like Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake and to other nearby cities in that side of the border. Niagara on the Lake https://www.niagaraonthelake.com
