LOL Interesting. I've never thought of Scarsdale as Jewish. It still has a WASP presence in fact. Lots of old money there... However, the place has seen more Jews move there.

From what was reported on the news, Klein lost because he broke away from the Democrats, so it was more of a vote against him than anything.

They moved to Scarsdale because a lot of the covenants prevented them from moving into other places (i.e. Bronxville). Not too shabby in Scarsdale....

It is a form of identity politics for sure but it's not racial or ethnic as much as gender. It's women reacting to the way old white men have screwed things up and get nothing done. They are going to be bumping off even men who they mostly agree with politically simply because they are old men ....because let's face it, most of the old men in politics are sleazy and useless.
Klein was nothing if not sleazy.

I am an old white man myself but I'm voting with the girls. Things have to change.

I think people are so angry that if Nixon hadn't been so looney tunes Cuomo could have been bumped off this year.

I mean think about it, the President of the United States had unprotected sex with a stripper/porn star and then went home and ****ed his wife ! And everyone in the world knows it. That's just not right. It's crazy how low we have sunk.

So you think the best political office holders should be saints?

If they do their job, which is to pass budget, pass laws, help the economy and country, etc., their sex life, provided there is nothing illegal should be none of our business.

No, I don't care if they are saints or if they **** goats but having unprotected sex with a sex worker and then going home and ****ing your wife without telling her where your dick has been is morally repugnant..and not because of the sex with the porn star....
Basically, it's the lowest of the low on the morality/responsibility scale and yes, I think those kinds of people should be disqualified from public trust.

You sound like a prude. Not everybody has sexual hangups like you.

Promiscuity and morality/responsiblity are mutally exclusive. A promiscuous person is not necesarily unresponsible just like a sexless person doesn't mean they are responsible.

There are reasons monks/nuns are not politicians.

You just don't get . It has nothing to do with promiscuity at all. It has to do with an obligation to PROTECT your spouse or partner. If you are going to **** around ok but use a condom before sticking your dick into someone else otherwise you are a real sleazy low life. STD's don't wash off.

IDC had its benefits. Those senators had easier access to pork barrel and staff jobs that trickled down to their constituents in the boroughs, especially the poor (at least with Peralta). But after Trump became president, the upstate Republicans started to aggressively bash immigrants and sanctuary cities like NYC - forgetting that Democrats with NYC constituents encouraged by a Democrat governor gave them the senate majority. It did not help that the IDC responded meekly to rising anti immigrant sentiment which gave the impression that they could not be counted on to fight for downstate interests.
