This is sponsored by Koch brothers by the way. I think its kind of smart of them to align themselves with 'progressives' on this, as long as the activists do not find out that they are sponsored by the Kochs lol.

I am in favor of this. The government should stay out of what consenting adults do in their bedrooms.

Bureaucracy in places like NYC often creates and maintains poverty as it selects a few winners at the expense of a number of losers.

What consisting adults do for sex is their business, and that includes if cash is involved.
I think there’s a difference in what we’re talking about. The article is about decriminalization. I wrote I’m in favor of a regulated sex industry. These are adjacent, but not exactly the same.

I’m in favor of a regulated sex industry with a relativey low barrier to entry. I’m of the same opinion for when a consenting adult makes and sells sandwiches to other consenting adults or a consenting adult prepares taxes for other consenting adults. Now it’s certainly arguable that there are some onerous fees, licenses and regulations involved with those which should be reformed, but that’s reform rather than wipe all regulations.

As for people in desperate need, I’m in support of other lifelines which have been pretty common in other developed countries rather than just tell people, “why don’t you just do sex work” when they are desperate.

Absolutely support this. There should also be city inspections of facilities, location restrictions, and health screening and treatment available for all sex workers.

Are we finally going to be grown-ups about this? I shudder to think we could be so mature.

NYC with legal prostitution, marijuana, and gambling becomes even more of a travel destination for travelers, you think ?

Is that a dig? Like, is it happening in your momma’s backyard implying the mother is getting it and you have been paying for her services kind of dig? Digs about sex work only reinforce the idea that sex work is something to be ashamed of so I think we should all be open-minded about what his mother chooses to do or not do with consenting adults, okay? Can we all just agree to that?

It is not "the oldest profession" for nothing.

Criminalizing prostitution is just another hangover from the demented Pilgrim/Puritan roots of this country who migrated here because Europe wasn't religious enough for them.

Perhaps even more than Amazon's imagined 25,000 new highly paid workers will be created.

Absolutely not It is wrong and we already ( still ) have a problem with sex trafficking* and under the bar prostitution* via escort/ambassador/agencies Not to mention private prostitution via pimps/boyfriends in general.

They want to legalize Gambling as well. I already see how that is going to be like.

In Europe they have those auctions where you could buy somebodies time. We do not need that kind of **** in the United States at all.

* Sex trafficking is not prostitution and does not relate to inbound. It is a bigger problem all together. They is a pro and con for this action as well.

* Escort services have been found that people working within those confines participate in prostitution.

ANYBODY THAT PROMOTES PROSTITUTION NEEDS TO RE-EDUCATED.

ANYBODY THAT DOES PAY FOR IT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW... IS A LOSER.

IT DOES NOT COUNT. If you pay for it is not real at all. If you take it or is given it. Is another story all together.

I am not saying to have a private party and do this and that. I am saying you are the lowest person if your intentions is to participate in these activities via money.

Paying for sex is wrong and creates problems. Big problems. I am not talking about pornography. I am not talking about people in their own privacy.

IT IS WRONG AND PROMOTING IT MAKES YOU A LOSER. Maybe one day I will change and accept the idea but otherwise when you look at a pretty girl in a picture and realize that she has been used for sex from when she first born all the way into her old age. You ask yourself. What happens to that girl when she becomes an elderly woman and nobody wants her for sex anymore?

Does anybody marries her? Does anybody love or admires her? The problem with NY State even allowing prostitution is that it is packed to the brim with immigrants who do not know how to live any other way. You think it is a win win situation for "money making ( professionals ) people but in reality it is damaging the initial inhabitants ( real Americans ) ability to live normally.

Again legalize such activity is wrong %9000. I am against legalization of it even if there are people that makes a living in such manor.

IT IS WRONG AND THE OUTCOME IS NOT GOOD. IT DOES NOT COUNT. Take away money your just having sex with random people. Where does it come from. If you want to work in an adult film or whatever private or public space ) by all means. But legalizing such activities on paper is wrong.

People are pathetic to promote this as a legal activity including gambling. That I wish and hope my view on the subject stays the same in the future

Either you're trying too hard to be funny, or you're making a real bad attempt at sarcasm. He simply meant that there's a good chance its happening in neighborhoods in NYC and we're unaware.
