What is exactly going on in the Village/Town of Monroe home buying wise? I see property values are going up, but is it wise to buy there? What about those who already own there? Is it a lost cause as I've heard?

Well other then the older people are selling and the "Millennials" are seeing it is good investment to buy a home in Monroe & their surrounding areas. It depends on which section you are looking at, I been there for 4yrs and taxes where I live is not high and it is a well diverse county where people actually mean it when saying hello.

You would need to speak to a real estate agent to take you around area to see which part you may like. a good friend of mine relocate his family from Queens, NY after coming to visit us there been there for 2yrs. They fell in love each and everytime the visited. They live in Harriman and I live in Monroe, and both our taxes are decent also Chester, NY is good as well. Try Weichert agency(Monroe) they were good for my family and my friends family.

Definitely not a lost cause.
